Pest Control In Thorold
Thorold sits on the brow of the Niagara Escarpment, with the Welland Canal running through the city, including Lock 7 and the Twin Flight Locks. Its population grew by more than a quarter between 2016 and 2021, to about 23,800. Neighbourhoods range from the historic core to newer developments, and its closeness to Brock University gives it a large student population. Lake Gibson and its conservation park sit on the city's edge.
Common Pest Issues In Thorold
Rapid growth means lots of new construction, and fresh foundations disturb the ground that ants and mice live in, so new homes often see activity in their first few seasons. Student rentals and multi unit housing can see bed bugs and cockroaches travel with furniture and belongings. The canal, the lake and the escarpment green space keep spider activity steady through the warm months, and mice push indoors when the weather cools.

Frequently Asked Questions
I just moved into a new build. Do I need pest control?
A first season treatment is worth considering. Construction disturbs the soil, and ants and rodents often find new foundations quickly. An exterior spray treatment in spring and a check for rodent entry points before fall go a long way.
Do you handle bed bugs in student housing?
Yes. We inspect, treat and follow up, with clear preparation instructions for tenants and documentation for landlords. See bed bug treatment for details.
Which nearby areas do you serve?
All of Thorold plus St. Catharines, Welland, Pelham and the rest of Niagara.
